There really aren’t many things sweeter than baby girls, and there really aren’t many things more fun than getting to throw a baby shower full of girly pink things! I recently had the opportunity to do just that and definitely had some fun with it. To start things off, I put together a color and mood board full of pinks and gold inspired by the nursery.
Since the mom and dad-to-be are sports fans, I liked the idea of incorporating some stripes as a subtle nod to that. The invitation has wide pink and white diagonal stripes accented with a gold brush script font and a clean sans serif. Mid and darker pinks add a bolder contrast in the color palette.
Baby Bingo was one of the games of choice, so custom bingo cards were in order. Etsy was helpful in finding just the right gold heart stickers. I will say, this game was a slight fail. There were so many guests that everyone was a bingo winner by the middle of gift opening!
Late Night Diapers was a fun activity that gets the guests laughing and leaves the parents with some useful and entertaining souvenirs.
One of the most extensive projects was preparing the flower vases. I love the look of mixed bud vases in all white, similar to milk glass. This wasn’t something that I was able to find off-the-shelf within the budget, so I DIYed these using clear vases and Krylon Multipurpose Indoor/Outdoor Gloss White (great tutorial here). They were perfect for grouping together around the welcome sign and spreading out across the buffet.
